Help for Technical Issues with this Website.
If you are experiencing problems loading, viewing or hearing a lesson, please review the following minimum requirements and troubleshooting hints listed below. .You may also review DIRECTIONS for detailed information on how to use this site, as well as the FAQ section for answers to common questions.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTSInternet Connection (Bandwidth): AOA CE ON-LINE provides a Rich Media experience, and therefore is best accessed using a high-speed internet connection. A 56k dial-up modem at the minimum, Cable or DSL is strongly recommended.Plug-in: The Adobe Flash Player 8 or later is required. This is free, easy to install, and available by clicking here.Windows:- CPU: Intel Pentium II 450MHz or faster processor (or equivalent)

- Windows 2000, with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
- Windows XP
- Browser:
- MS Internet Explorer 5.x (Windows 2000)
- MS Internet Explorer 6.x, Firefox 1.x or later (Windows XP)

Macintosh:- CPU: PowerPC G3 500MHz or faster processor
- RAM: 128MB
- Operating System: OSX 10.2.x, 10.3.x, or 10.4.x

TECHNICAL ISSUESInternet Browsers
In order to access the event, you must have a browser and operating system as outlined in the table above.ÝTo determine the BROWSER VERSION installed on your computer, complete the following steps:
Windows:- Open the browser.
- Click the Help menu.
- Click About.
Macintosh:- Open the browser.
- Click the browser menu. (To the immediate right of the Apple menu)
- Click About.Ý

Operating System:To determine the OPERATING SYSTEM installed on your computer, complete the following steps:Windows:- Click the Start button.
- Select My Computer
- Under System Tasks, select View System Information.
Macintosh:- Click on the Apple menu.
- Select About this Mac
JavaScript:
In order to access this website, your computer must have JavaScript enabled. If the web pages do not load correctly, or if you get a JavaScript Error message, your system may not have JavaScript enabled. Follow the directions specific to your browser and operating system:Windows:
Internet Explorer:- From the Internet Explorer menu go to Tools and then select Internet Options.
- From the Internet Options window choose the Security tab.
- On the Security Window, choose Custom Level.
- In the Settings window scroll down to Active Scripting. Check Enable. Then Click on OK.
- You will get a warning message. Click on Yes.
- On the Security Window, click OK.
Ý FireFox:- From the FireFox menu go to Tools and then select Options.
- From the Options window, select Content.
- From the Content window, check the Enable JavaScript box.
Macintosh:FireFox:- From the FireFox menu select Preferences.
- From the Preferences window, select Content.
- From the Content window, check the Enable JavaScript box.
Safari:- From the FireFox menu, select Preferences.
- From the Preferences window, select the Security.
- From the Security window, check the Enable JavaScript box.
ÝMiscellaneous:"HTTP not found" error message. "
128-bit Encryption is required for your operating system and browser. To determine if your browser has 128-bit encryption, go to the "Help" feature at the top of the browser window then, click on the "About" selection from the drop-down menu. The parameter you need to verify is titled "Cipher Strength" for Internet Explorer.
ÝIf you are using a Windows 2000 operating system and your browser indicates that you do not have 128-bit encryption, you will need to install Service Pack 2 (SP2). SP2 can be downloaded for free from the following URL. http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp2/default.asp
The video is choppy or it continually stops and rebuffers.
Network congestion can occur at any time due to the following problems:
- If you are connecting to the Internet through a modem.
- You are trying to access a lesson during peak Internet traffic hours.
- If you are connecting to the Internet from outside North America.
- There is heavy traffic on your company network.
ÝTo alleviate network congestion, you may want to consider the following:
- Upgrading to a faster connection
- Minimize the amount of applications you are running while accessing the event
- Try accessing the event during an off-peak Internet traffic period.
No Sound (or the sound is very faint)
First, turn up the volume control on the CE ON-LINE interface. This can be found on the bottom, left of the window.
Verify that your speakers turned on and up. Check that they are plugged into the power outlet, and connected to the audio port of the computer. Your speakers or headphones must be plugged into the sound card not into the sound out jack of the CD-ROM drive.
If your system is properly set-up and you still cannot hear any audio, check your system volume settings. To adjust the system volume settings:Windows:- Click Start, Settings, and then Control Panel.
- Double-click on the Multimedia icon.
- On the audio tab, turn up the volume.
- If it is grayed out, this is indication that the system is not configured for sound.
Macintosh:- Click Apple menu, and then System Preferences.
- Under Hardware, select Sound.
- On the Sound Control Panel, select Output, turn up the Output Volume.
- Make sure the Balance is centered and that the Mute box is un-selected.
